Months ahead of the iPhone Ultra's expected fall release, a new leak claims Apple has already greenlit its replacement while keeping its powder dry on a potential iPhone Air 3 . The iPhone Ultra is just the beginning. Apple's first foldable iPhone now looks increasingly likely to be called iPhone Ultra. But in a post to Weibo, leaker Digital Chat Station says Apple has already confirmed development of the second-gen model. However, with Apple thought to be working on an iPhone Air 2, the likelihood of a third iteration is unclear. Apple is ‘working tirelessly’ to find solutions to component shortage as it hikes prices across Mac, iPad and more

Apple just rolled out a slew of price increases across Mac, iPad, Apple TV, HomePod and more product lines. Apple CEO Tim Cook warned this was coming a week ago , as component pricing for memory and storage hits unprecedented levels. In a statement to Bloomberg today , the company acknowledged “this is not welcome news” and is “working tirelessly to find solutions”.

After temporarily taking it down earlier today , Apple's online store is back up with a series of product price increases. Last week, Apple announced that it was preparing to raise prices across its product lineup, with CEO Tim Cook confirming that that the move was inevitable. Cook made the announcement in an interview with The Wall Street Journal , citing the soaring cost of memory and storage chips. "Unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable," he said. "We're doing our best to mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we've been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable." Cook described the scale of the memory shortage as a "hundred-year flood," adding, "I've never seen anything like it in any area in over 40 years."
