After releasing iOS 27 last week, Apple is already testing a follow-up iOS 27.0.1 update for iPhones, according to MacRumors logs. iOS 27.0.1 will likely be a minor update with bug fixes and/or security patches. Shortly after Apple launches new iPhone models, some software bugs are usually discovered as the devices get into the hands of millions of customers around the world. This year, some iPhone 18 Pro users are experiencing Face ID issues , so it is likely that iOS 27.0.1 will include some Face ID-related bug fixes or enhancements at a minimum. watchOS 27.0.1 is already available for the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. That update fixes an issue where those models may restart unexpectedly. We do not know exactly when iOS 27.0.1 will be released to the public, but keep an eye out for the update over the next few days or weeks. The update is limited to the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 . watchOS 27.0.1 can be downloaded through the Settings app on the watch or the Apple Watch app on a connected iPhone. Software can only be installed when the Apple Watch is on the charger and has over 50 percent battery. Apple's release notes say the update fixes bugs, including an issue that could cause the Apple Watch to restart unexpectedly.
