Russian officials have demanded that Apple explain why a number of apps related to the internet and technology company VK were removed from the iPhone's App Store without any kind of "warning or explanation" as to the reason. The Kremlin wants answers after some apps were removed from the Russian App Store The Kremlin demanded an explanation after VK sounded the alarm. The company says that Apple's removal of the apps is restricting "access to popular services used by tens of millions of people every day." The apps that Russians no longer have access to, VK says, include social networks, video platforms, and messaging apps. "We're doing our best to mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we've been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable."
