Amid all the craziness of this iPhone launch week, one of my favorite brands has released its brand-new retro-style dock for the Mac mini and the Mac Studio. Last year, they released their Retro Dock for the M4 Mac mini, and it was the perfect combination of functionality, form, and nostalgia that I had never seen before. It added a ton of ports, an NVMe storage slot, a 5-inch display, all wrapped up in a housing that looked like the original Macintosh from 1984. The new Wokyis G5 & G7 takes it to a whole other level. A new report obviously predicts that Apple wants to replace the iPhone Duo 's existing Touch ID with Face ID as soon as possible, and suggests that Apple Intelligence might help. Face ID invisibly scans the user's face to confirm their identity before unlocking - image credit: Apple. Touch ID is easily the most apparent compromise in the iPhone Duo, and Apple has had to go back it because of that model's slim chassis. It was not physically possible to fit the usual Face ID components into that space. Now Bloomberg has made the obvious prediction that Apple will be working to add Face ID to future generations of the iPhone Duo. But it's also suggested that AI could be part of the solution. Apple is about to release iOS 27 , which will finally deliver more advanced Siri AI capabilities as well as a variety of other refinements, improvements, and new features to iPhones. It's Apple's biggest software update of the year, and Apple announced at Wednesday's iPhone event that it will be releasing ‌iOS 27‌ sometime tomorrow – Monday, September 14. ‌iOS 27‌ won't be the only release on Monday, as macOS Golden Gate and other releases in the OS 27 family will also drop around the same time as ‌iOS 27‌. Based on past releases, the update is likely to drop at around 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time/1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Apple's own websites for countries around the world also suggest a 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time release, with Apple's site for India listing a September 14 launch while the company's pages for Singapore, Hong Kong, and others in that region list a September 15 release. That points to a narrow release window around 10:00 a.m. Pacific to line up with time zones where it will be after midnight in some of those countries.
