In a new Weibo post , the leaker known as " Fixed Focus Digital " said that one of the new ‌MacBook Pro‌'s key upgrades is its hinge design. The improved design is apparently related to plans for the second- and third-generation ‌iPhone Duo‌. The MacBook hinge claim aligns with Bloomberg 's Mark Gurman 's reporting that Apple has redesigned the mechanism to keep the display steady during touch input, alongside cooling changes that improve airflow through the hinge area. Gurman has separately said that Apple is considering a larger inner display for a future ‌iPhone Duo‌, potentially measuring around 7.9 to 8.1 inches compared to the current model's 7.6 inches. It is unclear whether the hinge changes mentioned by Fixed Focus Digital relate to that potential redesign.
