Outgoing Apple CEO Tim Cook has presented his final earnings call, the quarterly financial phone meeting the company has with analysts, and just as at WWDC, he made a relatively quiet farewell. Before we get into questions, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to all of from our shareholders, particularly our long-term shareholders, who have put their trust in us for so many years, to the analysts who have followed our company so closely. As you know, this will be my final earnings call, and John will lead these calls going forward. The transition is going seamlessly, and I am beyond excited. for John to step into his new role and lead Apple into its next era. He is truly one-of-a-kind and there is no better person to take the helm of the company. As I've said, I couldn't be more confident in his leadership, in our executive team, and in the extraordinary people at Apple who are determined to lives of our users all over the world. Apple's gross margins and earnings per share were boosted by the tariff refunds the company received so far. Another $1 billion in tariff refunds are still unaccounted for. Tariff refunds helped boost Apple's June quarter Even as new potentially illegal tariffs affect Apple's supply chain, the company has received refunds for some of the damages done by the previous illegal ones . Apple's record-breaking quarter didn't need the help of the tariff refunds, but it does add some extra flair to the already outstanding results. Apple shared that its gross margin was 50.1% with a favorable impact of 2% provided by tariff refunds. Apple will pay shareholders a quarterly cash dividend of $0.27 per share on August 13, maintaining the rate it introduced earlier in 2026 after reporting its strongest June quarter on record. Apple Park The dividend will go to shareholders of record at the close of business on August 10. Apple's board approved the payment alongside the company's fiscal third-quarter earnings results. The board raised Apple's dividend by 4% from $0.26 to $0.27 per share in April. The latest declaration keeps that higher rate in place rather than giving shareholders another increase. The math is easy — an investor holding 100 Apple shares will receive $27, while 1,000 shares will produce a $270 payment before any applicable taxes.
