Apple's New HomeView Smart Home Hub: Here's How Much RAM It Has

MacRumors • Thu, 05 Nov 2026

MacRumors has confirmed that the A18 chip in Apple's new HomeView smart home hub is paired with 8GB of RAM. This is not very surprising given the A18 chip also has 8GB of RAM in all iPhone 16 models and the MacBook Neo, but Apple does not list this information in the HomeView's tech specs, so it is worth documenting. Apple Surveys iPhone Duo Buyers About Crease and Camera

Apple is sending email surveys to some iPhone Duo buyers to get feedback on display size, crease, under-display camera, and other features. The inner display's under-screen camera is limited to 4MP, and it was one of the main complaints in reviews . The survey does not ask about Touch ID , the experience of using unoptimized apps, or the display cracks some users have reported, all of which are also top Duo complaints, (Thanks, Willy!) iPhone Duo brings multitasking to iPhone, but only just

The iPhone Duo inner display brings multitasking to iPhone, but it stops just short of really turning Apple's first foldable into a multitasking monster. Here's how it works, and what the limitations are. iPhone Duo can run to apps side by side For years now, some of us have used iPhones as portable workstations thanks to big displays and super-fast chips. But the iPhone Duo takes things to a whole new level, whether you're working or having fun. Apple's iPhone Duo multitasking isn't quite on par with an iPad thanks to the lack of windowing support, but two apps are better than one.
