It wasn't the most high-profile aspect of the newly updated Mac Studio, but Genlock will be the reason some users buy it. Genlock is a system for synchronizing footage from multiple cameras and saves potentially hours of manually aligning video and audio tracks. Genlock has been used by broadcast television productions for decades, and it has been supported by Macs and PCs before. Apple has announced that it will be holding an event on Wednesday, September 9 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, with the company widely expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, its first-ever foldable iPhone, and more. Other products expected to be announced at the event include an Apple Watch Series 12 with a ceramic case option, an Apple Watch Ultra 4, AirPods 5 with and without active noise cancellation, and potentially more. Here are the six products most likely to be unveiled at the event. Most Likely iPhone 18 Pro: A20 Pro chip , a smaller Dynamic Island , a simplified Camera Control button, a Dark Cherry color option , and more. iPhone 18 Pro Max: The same features rumored for the iPhone 18 Pro, but the Pro Max model may be slightly thicker due to a larger battery and a variable aperture camera , which might be exclusive to the Pro Max model this year. iPhone Ultra: A foldable iPhone Ultra with a 7.7-inch inner display and 5.3-inch outer display , two rear cameras, one front camera, a Touch ID power button instead of Face ID, and more. iOS 27 is expected to be tailored for the foldable iPhone, allowing for side-by-side apps and other iPad-like multitasking functionality.
