Apple is planning to release new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models in spring 2027, reports Bloomberg . No major design changes are expected, with Apple focusing on internal upgrades. The ‌iPad Pro‌ models could use either M6 chips or M7 chips. Apple will introduce the M6 chip as soon as this year in an updated 14-inch MacBook Pro model, but it is aiming to release the M7 chip in the first half of 2027. Bloomberg does not specify which chip Apple will put in the ‌iPad Pro‌, but if the M7 chip is ready by spring 2027, the new iPads could have the upgraded chip. If it's not ready, they'll use the M6. Both chips will be built on Apple's new 2-nanometer process, but the M7 has AI optimizations that the M6 doesn't have. Apple has also tested a vapor chamber cooling system that could improve performance. Little else is known about the new ‌iPad Pro‌ models, but if they come out in spring 2027, Apple could introduce them alongside the iPhone 18e, iPhone 18 , and iPhone Air 2, devices that are also slated for spring 2027. Russia is putting pressure on Apple with a proposed $52M fine for discriminating against state-backed apps and not having them installed on every iPhone . Russia has threatened Apple with a nearly $52M fine. On June 25 , the Kremlin demanded answers as to why Russian applications made by VK were removed from the App Store . Apple was accused of removing VK apps and services without "warning or explanation," and Russia threatened to withdraw its cooperation with Apple entirely over the issue. Now, the country has taken even stricter measures, issuing a warning to Apple, saying the company could face an almost $52 million fine for discriminating against Russian software. It's not exactly the most unexpected rumor, but a new report claims that Apple is working on an iPad Pro refresh, and a new entry-level MacBook Pro with M7 for spring 2027. iPad Pro can replace the MacBook Pro for some users If the rumor is accurate, that moves the iPad Pro from a previous fall launch cycle to the spring. This will help level out Apple's earnings cycle, and move some new releases out of the holiday quarter, and into the spring and back-to-school purchasing season. Any new iPad Pro will be an incremental update, with screen sizes expected to remain the same. No redesign is expected, and one is not predicted in Wednesday's report from Bloomberg .
