Apple is doubling down on its case against OpenAI. While OpenAI has turned to the court of public opinion in this case, Apple has now gone to a US judge. According to Reuters , on August 3, 2026, Apple asked for a preliminary injunction, and inspired OpenAI's post that didn't say that much. Specifically, it asked for this injunction to bar OpenAI and two former Apple employees from acquiring or using allegedly confidential information. OpenAI initially responded by trying to put the focus on emails Apple's lawyers mis-addressed, but now it has come out fighting. In an open letter called "Apple is getting this wrong," OpenAI still goes on about that mis-addressing, but now says its staff are blameless. Telegram was removed then returned to the App Store Telegram is known widely as a secure alternative to Messenger, WhatsApp, and iMessage . Its cross-platform availability and options for end-to-end encryption have made it attractive to privacy and security-conscious users. Reports began showing up across social media of Telegram disappearing from the Apple App Store around 9:30 p.m. EST on Monday night.
