The new Mac mini and Mac Studio models announced by Apple this week are "slated to ship" with macOS Golden Gate, according to Daring Fireball 's John Gruber . Apple's product pages for the new Mac mini and Mac Studio models mention macOS Golden Gate features such as Siri AI, providing further evidence that the computers will ship with the latest operating system, instead of macOS Tahoe. In addition, FCC documents and other evidence uncovered by MacRumors all point towards the new Macs coming with macOS Golden Gate preinstalled. "The new Mac mini comes to life with the upcoming macOS 27, which includes Siri AI, a profoundly more capable and personal assistant; helpful Apple Intelligence features across everyday apps; and an expansive set of improvements that make the Mac even more responsive and reliable," said Apple, in a press release. Apple said the new Mac mini and Mac Studio will be released on Tuesday, September 22, so macOS Golden Gate would need to be released before that date if the computers will ship with that operating system. Based on historical patterns, macOS Golden Gate will most likely be released during the week of Monday, September 14. Apple today announced a new Apple Education Center in Hanoi to expand training and skill development programs for employees across its supply chain in Vietnam. The new center is the first of its kind in the country and will begin offering courses this fall, operating in partnership with Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST). Apple and its partners already run almost 20 educational programs for supplier employees in Vietnam. Courses will combine both online and in-person learning, covering areas including manufacturing, robotics, and automation technology. The center will also offer leadership and soft skills training aimed at helping workers advance in their current roles or move into new career paths. The new center is the latest initiative funded by Apple's $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund, a global program the company launched in 2022. Apple said more than 9 million education and training sessions have been delivered via the fund so far, and more than 108,000 supplier employees have taken part in its Swift programming courses since 2017. The fund also supports workplace rights education and health programs covering broader topics such as health and fitness programming, mental health, and disease screening. Downloads on the Mac Dock Apple treats Dock items as aliases that point to the originals. Removing a Dock alias changes only the Dock, so putting it back doesn't recover, move, or duplicate any files. Open Finder and choose Go , then Home , or press Shift-Command-H . Drag Downloads to the Dock beside the Trash. Control-click or right-click Downloads in the Dock. Choose View Content As , then Fan . Choose Sort By , then Date Added .
